As an annual community celebration, the Red Cross Real Heroes event is the signature fundraising event for American Red Cross Cascades region. The Real Heroes event grew out of the desire to develop an event that is closely related to the Red Cross Mission - Saving lives through prevention, preparedness and response. It recognizes the heroic deeds of everyday people while raising undesignated operational revenue for your local Red Cross. This year’s celebration is even more special because it marks 20 years of Heroes Breakfast events and 100 years of the Red Cross in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Today we learned how Dan Windon became a hero when he rescued a man from a submerged car at the last possible moment. Monique Dugaw, Marketing Communications Director for the Red Cross, shared how you can help the Red Cross continue to do amazing work in our local community and across the world.
Join them for the Real Heroes Breakfast on March 24th, 6:45 - 9:00 am at the Vancouver Hilton. Head to www.redcross.org/Heroes2017 for all the details.
