Pumpkin Nut Bread Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan.
2 cups flour2 teaspoons baking powder1/2 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon cinnamon1/2 teaspoon nutmeg1 cup pumpkin1 cup sugar1/2 cup milk2 eggs1/4 cup softened butter1 cup chopped nuts - walnuts or pecans
Stir together dry ingredients. In another bowl, mix pumpkin, sugar, milk and eggs.Add dry ingredients and butter -- mix well. Stir in nuts.Spread in well-greased 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan.Bake at 350 degree oven for 45-55 minutes.
Remove from pan after 10 minutes.
The Pumpkin Nut Bread may be frozen.
