Marriage and Family Therapist, Kelly Hoffman, says that often times people entering into a relationship are focusing on whether or not they can trust their partner (to be faithful, to be responsible, to provide the things we need). These things are important, but even more important is learning how to trust yourself.
If you have been having trouble in relationships and are feeling like the people you date just aren't trustworthy, it is time to step up to the plate and start behaving in a way that allows you to trust yourself. Once you are able to trust yourself, you naturally recognize and gravitate towards trustworthy people. Also, the people who are already in your life will naturally start acting more trustworthy as they sense this inner shift.
