Longtime Portland comedian Dwight Slade will make a rare hometown appearance on Saturday, November 10th at the Bagdad Theater in SE Portland to celebrate the release of his 4th CD,
"CARELESS LIPS: DWIGHT SLADE'S GREATEST HITS." Slade's new CD will feature the best cuts from his other 3 CD releases and also include 3 unreleased tracks. "Quite frankly," says Slade, "My first two CD's are funny, but a tad dated. So why not give people the best of what I have to offer
instead of having them sit through a routine on The Culture Club." Slade, who moved to Portland in 1983 to join Portland's first comedy boom, has enjoyed international success from his home in
NE Portland with tours of Israel, the UK and for the US troops in Afghanistan. Slade began his career at age 14 in a comedy team with the legendary Bill Hicks. Bill and Dwight's story occupy much of the 2011 documentary, "American: The Bill Hicks Story," which is currently available on Netflix and On Demand after a successful run in festivals and theaters.
