64 percent turnout in Washington County (as of 12 p.m.)

Washington County elections officials have received 187,224 ballots as of noon today, or about 64 percent of all registered voters in the county. Elections officials expect to receive thousands more ballots from Washington County voters by 8 p.m. Tuesday. Close to 200,000 ballots are likely to be processed in Washington County for the 2012 general election.

Official Drop-off Sites

Washington County elections officials are asking last-minute voters to drop off their ballots at official collection sites by tonight's 8 p.m. deadline. Official drop-off sites are listed on the county's website at:

Traffic Revisions Continue in Beaverton and Hillsboro

Commuters may find traffic revisions in place in some locations to support safe ballot collection activity. Travelers are advised to take alternative routes to avoid these areas throughout the ballot-collection process. These traffic changes include the following:

S.W. Murray Boulevard, Beaverton - The middle turn lane will be closed along S.W. Murray Boulevard just south of Millikan Way throughout the day. The right, northbound lane of S.W. Murray Boulevard is restricted to ballot drop-off service until 8 p.m. Voters are encouraged to drop off their ballots at an official collection site in the K-Mart parking lot near the intersection of S.W. Tualatin Valley Highway (Highway 8) and S.W. Murray Boulevard in Beaverton. Drive-through ballot collection is also available at the Washington County Elections Office at 3700 S.W. Murray Boulevard, Beaverton.

S.W. Hall Boulevard, Beaverton - The left, northbound lane of S.W. Hall Boulevard in Beaverton, just south of Third Street, is restricted to official ballot drop-off service until 8 p.m. An official ballot drop-off site will also be available in the Beaverton Library at 12375 S.W. 5th Street, Beaverton.

N.E. Brookwood Parkway, Hillsboro - The right lanes for both northbound and southbound traffic on N.E. Brookwood Parkway in Hillsboro is restricted to official ballot drop-off service until 8 p.m. This official ballot collection site is located at the lighted intersection near the Hillsboro Main Library at 2850 N.E. Brookwood Parkway, Hillsboro.
