Armed robbery forces schools in Evergreen School Dist. into lockdown

VANCOUVER, Wash. - A police chase forced schools in the Evergreen School District into lockdown Monday afternoon.

Mountain View High School, Wy'east Middle School and Riverview Elementary School were all in lockdown for a short time after police started chasing a suspect after an armed robbery at 131st and Mill Plain Boulevard.

According to Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp, a man pulled a gun on a woman who was walking and demanded money. She gave him money and the man fled on foot.

No one was injured.

Police have not yet caught the suspect.
