Firefighters rescue woman, dogs from house fire

MILWAUKIE, Ore. - Firefighters rescued a woman and two dogs from a house fire in Milwaukie Saturday morning.

Crews arrived at around 10:30 a.m. to find a fire in the front of a house at 3835 SE Adams Street. Firefighters learned that someone was still inside the house and they went inside. They pulled a woman and dogs out of the home while more firefighters arrived and extinguished the fire, according to Clackamas Fire spokesman Jeff Smith.

Medics took the woman to a hospital where she was treated for smoke inhalation. Her name has not been released.

Investigators are working to figure out what caused the fire.
