Man accused of sexually abusing 16-year-old girl for years

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. -- A 30-year-old Damascus, Ore., man has been arrested and accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old for years.

Deputies say Jacob Wayne Harms knew the girl because he rented a room in a home where she lived.

Investigators believe there may be more victims because they found photos of underage girls in Harms' room while conducting a search, according to a news release from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators believe the abuse happened over a two-year period. They arrested Harms Wednesday on suspicion of 26 counts of second-degree unlawful sexual penetration, third-degree sex abuse, third-degree sodomy, first-degree encouraging child sex abuse and using a child in a sex display.

He was booked in the Clackamas County Jail on $1,735,000 bail.

Anyone who may have been a victim of Harms should call the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office's tip line at 503-723-4949.
