Man stabbed during fight at NW Portland deli

PORTLAND, Ore. - A man was stabbed in the face during a fight at a Northwest Portland deli Monday night, police said.

Officers arrived at Katina's Deli on N.W. 6th Avenue after receiving a report of three men fighting around 7:40 p.m.

When they arrived, officers found a 43-year-old man who'd been stabbed in the face. The man declined medical attention, police said. Witnesses told officers the man was stabbed during the fight.

Two men ran away from the scene before police arrived. The stabbing suspect is described as a black man in his 40s who is 5-feet, 10-inches tall. His hair was in cornrows. He wore glasses, a dark jacket with blue sleeves, a red and white checkered shirt, sweatpants and dark shoes.

A second black man was with the suspect when they left the deli.
