Police search for suspected flasher in NE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - Police are searching for a man who they said was naked from the waist down while he chased a woman in Northeast Portland Monday morning.

Police believe the suspect is connected with several recent reported flashings in the Beaumont-Wilshire neighborhood.

Monday's incident happened at around 6:30 a.m., police said. Officers responded to multiple reports of a man without pants running through the area. One caller told police the man chased her on N.E. 31st Avenue near Alberta Street.

Officers searched the area but could not find the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s or 30s who is about 5-foot-8 and chubby, police said. He was wearing a white T-shirt, white socks and holding a cloth over his face. Police said the cloth may have been his boxer shorts.

The suspect may be driving a large gray or gold sedan.
