Three boys arrested in iPhone robbery; one a suspect in another crime

PORTLAND, Ore. - Three boys were arrested after a woman said her iPhone was stolen on Sunday in Northeast Portland.

The woman said she was at N.E. 21st Ave. and Alberta St. when she was robbed just before 10 p.m.

Police used a dog to help track down all three suspects.

Things got even worse for one of the three, a 15-year-old whom police said was the suspect in an assault and robbery last month. Police believe he knocked a man off his bicycle at N.E. 17th Ave. and Klickitat St. on Aug. 19.

That boy was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery and one count of third-degree assault. Another 15-year-old and a 16-year-old were charged with second-degree robbery.

Police are reviewing other assaults and robberies in the area to determine whether the boys might be connected.
