Voters to decide arts funding, school bond, library dist.
PORTLAND, Ore. - During Tuesday's election, voters will decide tax measures that involve the Multnomah County Library, Portland Public Schools and arts and music in Portland schools.
Measure 26-144 is the $482 million Portland Public Schools bond. If approved by voters, money will help repair, upgrade and replace schools.
Measure 26-146 aims to restore arts and music in the six school districts in Portland by hiring arts and music teachers through a $35 per year income tax.
Measure 26-143 will create a permanent Multnomah County Library District that would be funded by assessed property values up to $1.24 per $1,000.
