Kids Doing Good Stuff: Carlie Steele recipient of Spirit of Community Award

Carlie Steele is from Amity, Oregon, and the 12-year-old is about to go on a trip of a lifetime for the good work’s she’s doing in her community and beyond.

She is the recipient of the Prudential Spirit of Community Award. She leaves in a few weeks to accept the award in Washington, D.C.

She’s helped raised money for the Children’s Cancer Association and has participated in other projects, including helping out military families.

“When I was little my mom always taught me to do anything I can to make someone’s day better,” she says about what inspired her to help people.
