Kids Doing Good Stuff: Meron Semere and volunteerism
PORTLAND, Ore. —
Ninth-grader Meron Semere is already developing quite the resume.
The Reynolds High School freshman was named to the Multnomah Youth Commission as one of the youngest members ever.
She also volunteers at the Midland Library and has been doing so since she was in the seventh-grade.
What motivates her to volunteer?
“I want to do something and make a difference, and I don’t like being bored and want to have something to do,” she said.
