PTA Clothing Center helps Portland Public Schools students in need
PORTLAND, Ore. – Families received some help with back to school shopping on August 24 thanks to a clothing center for Portland Public Schools.
The PTA Clothing Center sits on the Marshall High School campus on 91st Avenue.
This year, Grant High School students are attending classes at Marshall High School.
Students can get free new and gently-used clothes donated from businesses and families in the area.
Last year, 1,500 kids received school clothes through the center.
“We wouldn't be able to afford new clothes this year without this. So, it's amazing; it's great; we really appreciate it,” said Destini Kauble, a mother of a Portland Public Schools student.
If you live in the Portland Public area and want to get clothes from the center, forms should be available at your school’s main office.
It’s open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday and Thursday.
