16-year-old arrested for unintentionally shooting acquaintance in Vancouver
CLARK COUNTY, Wash. —
A 16-year-old boy is facing reckless endangerment charges for allegedly shooting an acquaintance on accident Thursday morning.
Police were called to a home in the 4700 block of NE 49th Street around 10 a.m. There, they found a 19-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. He was hospitalized and is expected to be OK. Truman Elementary School was briefly placed on lock down as police investigated.
Friday afternoon, the Clark County Sheriff's Office announced a 16-year-old boy was arrested for reckless endangerment, unlawful possession of firearm and theft of firearm. They say he negligently shot the 19-year-old, who was an acquaintance.
