3 juveniles accused of placing skimming device on ATM in Salem
SALEM, Ore. —
Salem Police say three juveniles are accused of placing a skimming device on an ATM at a Salem credit union.
Police say a potential victim noticed the device on an ATM at Maps Credit Union on Commercial Street SE while visiting the bank Sunday morning.
Officers were able to quickly track down the three suspects, who all live in California. They were charged attempted aggravated identity theft and attempted aggravated theft.
Officers found several other skimming devices in the teens' cars, and are now investigating whether the same teens are involved in skimming incidents at the same bank last September, and other skimming incidents in Salem and beyond.
