3-year Portland Public Schools teacher contract approved
PORTLAND, Ore. —
The Portland Public Schools board unanimously approved a new three-year teacher contract Thursday.
The agreement between the teachers union and the district came after two years of negotiations.
The union president and superintendent both praised the agreement as marking the start of a new era of cooperation between the two.
The contract gives teachers an 8 percent pay raise spread over three years. It also maintains current benefits.
