Beaverton police search for driver in hit and run of pedestrian
BEAVERTON, Ore. - Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after hitting a pedestrian in Beaverton with truck in July.
The hit and run happened the night of July 29 in the area of Southwest Nadina Court and Southwest Lombard Avenue.
Police said the victim had been involved in an argument with the driver and his female passenger just before the crash. He was walking away from the truck when the suspect drove into him and his truck's front tire rolled over the man's chest.
The suspect then fled west on Lombard Avenue, police said.
The man, who wasn't identified, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. He was released several days later.
The Beaverton Police Department is asking for the public's help to track down the driver and his passenger.
The driver is described as a light-skinned Hispanic man, between the ages of 18 and 21, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build. The passenger is described as a Hispanic woman between the ages of 18 and 21, petite and with reddish-blonde streaks in her hair.
