      Bicyclist suffers traumatic injuries in NE Portland collision

      PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Police Bureau Major Crash Team was called to Northeast Killingsworth Street and Cully Boulevard Thursday night when a man on a bicycle collided with a car.


      Ryan Egge, 24, is in critical condition, but police expect him to survive. He was not wearing a helmet and surrered a significant head injury, police said.


      The driver, 64-year-old Cheryl Sellars, remained at the scene and was cooperating with police.


      The crash happened just before 8 p.m. Police said Egge was headed north on Cully Boulevard when he veered west to cross Killingsworth Street by cutting through a parking lot. He ran into the side of the small car as it traveled west on Killingsworth, according to police.


      Sellars was not speeding or impaired, police said.
