Cause of two-alarm Salem house fire under investigation

SALEM, Ore. – Fire officials are investigating what started a two-alarm house fire in Salem Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded to 1525 Lee Street Southeast at 7:02 a.m. after receiving reports of a house fire.

Officials said the fire started in the garage and spread to the house.

No one was injured.

Firefighters extinguished the fire, but continued to put out hot spots.

15th Street and Lee Street were blocked while crews worked on the fire.
