City biologist spots bear along Bull Run River
PORTLAND, Ore. - Today's "cute animal caught on camera" video comes courtesy of the Portland Water Bureau.
Fish biologist Burke Strobel was working along the lower Bull Run River conducting fish surveys when he came across a black bear in the water. Luckily Storbel had his camera handy and managed to grab some video of the animal.
A water bureau spokesman said bear sightings have been known to happen in the Bull Run watershed, although it is rare to get video of the encounters.
The bear was along the river below the reservoir that provides drinking water for Portland.
