Clackamas County warming shelters open tonight

homeless winter shelter.JPG

Three warming centers in Clackamas County are now open.

Shelter sites decide by 1 pm whether or not they will be open based on weather predictions for the area. Warming centers open when the weather is predicted to be 32 degrees or lower, or when other conditions such as accumulated snowfall or high winds make sleeping outdoors especially dangerous.

Clackamas County and 211info.org post openings as confirmed.

Users do not need reservations. People can simply show up at the site most accessible to them. Hot drinks, food and sleeping mats or cots are available at all centers.
