Classically-trained violinist loses belongings in car fire
PORTLAND, Ore. -- A classically trained violinist who was forced to live inside his car in Southeast Portland due to a limited pension lost everything he owns in a fire early Sunday morning.
Neighbors say he often parked his car at Colonel Summers Park and slept inside of it. He kept all of his belongings inside of it, including his violin and 20 years of musical compositions.
His car caught fire around 3 a.m. Sunday and he was able to get out uninjured.
