Cowlitz County Sheriff: Yale Lake swimmer's body found

WOODLAND, Wash. -- The body of 22-year-old Stephen W. Rilea Of Vancouver, Wash. was recovered before noon today.

Rilea was last seen swimming out at Yale Lake when he suddenly went under the water on Saturday morning.

He was 50 feet from the shoreline near the park entrance at the Beaver Bay Campground east of Woodland when people nearby noticed he had not resurfaced. Around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday a Cowlitz County Sheriff's boat responded to the scene along with fire units, sheriff's deputies, and a dive rescue team

Skamania, Clark, and Cowlitz County Sheriff's boats along with dive teams all assisted in the search and recovery efforts which ended today when divers located Rilea who drowned yesterday. They have notified the family.
