TUALATIN, Ore. – The first Cracker Barrel on the west coast opened its doors Monday morning to a line of hungry customers.

The restaurant and retail shop will be serving up “authentic, home-style cooking” from its location off of Interstate 5 in the Nyberg Rivers Shopping Center.

About 100 people lined up for the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store's grand opening Monday at 6 a.m., and the first person in line was an 8-year-old boy who said he’s been looking forward to an Oregon location for quite some time.

“I just really love Cracker Barrel, and since there hasn't been one on the west coast until today I just had to come here,” Grant Hendrickson said.

Cracker Barrel has plans to open three more locations in Oregon in the next year, with two located in the Portland metro area.
