Crews battle fire at Sherwood recycling company; no one hurt

SHERWOOD, Ore. - Crews extinguished a fire at a Sherwood recycling company Tuesday night.

Firefighters said sprinklers activated an alarm at Pride Recycling Company, located at 13910 S.W. Tualatin Sherwood Road, just after 8 p.m.

Several 911 callers reported seeing black smoke coming from the building.

Everyone got out of the building safely.

Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue said around 30 firefighters worked to put the fire out. They kept the fire contained to one corner of the building.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire. The damage estimate is unclear.
