Crews knock down fire at vacant SE Portland home

PORTLAND, Ore. - Firefighters extinguished a fire at a vacant Southeast Portland home early Friday morning.

It happened near S.E. 130th and Division St., firefighters said.

No one was hurt.

Crews said they could see the fire from blocks away as they arrived.

Firefighters used a defensive approach when fighting the fire; they attacked it from the outside and entered the home after most of the fire was extinguished.

The fire was under control in 12 minutes, firefighters said. It's unclear what caused the fire.
