Cute alert: Puppies take the bus to train as guide dogs
TriMet went to the dogs Tuesday night.
Ten puppies training to be guide dogs, and their puppy raisers, rode the 62 Bus to Washington Square Mall. Once there they strolled around the place.
It was all part of an exercise to get the pups accustomed to public transit and public spaces, so that one day they can assist the blind or visually impaired.
The training was through Guide Dogs for the Blind's Sightmasters puppy-raising club based in Beaverton.
