DA: Wil-Hi trainer charged with sex abuse violates bail agreement

EUGENE, Ore. -- A former Willamette High School athletic trainer accused of sexually abusing an underage student is back in jail after officials said he violated his conditions of release.

The Lane County District Attorney's Office said Timothy Schley "did not comply" with the conditions of release while he was out on bail.

An affidavit from the Lane County Circuit Court said that Schley is believed to have contacted the victim in the case, a violation of his security release agreement.

Police arrested Schley again on Friday and his bail has been revoked. He is scheduled for a hearing on Monday, March 24.

Timothy Michael Schley, 29, is accused of having sexual contact with a female student under the age of 18.

Initially arrested by police on 1 count of second degree sex abuse, the grand jury indicted Schley on 3 counts after reviewing the evidence. His attorney entered a plea of not guilty to those charges on Feb. 20.
