Deputies: Woman, drunk in court, rats out father; both arrested
SALEM, Ore. (AP) Authorities say a Salem woman accused of driving under the influence arrived in court Friday with a blood-alcohol content of .43 percent more than five times the legal limit.
Marion County sheriff's office spokesman Don Thomson said the judge ordered 36-year-old Stacy Weigart to take the breath test after noticing she was intoxicated. The judge ordered her to be jailed for breaking an earlier release agreement.
As a deputy escorted Weigart to jail, the woman mentioned that her father had driven her to court and he had a warrant out for his arrest also for driving under the influence.
Thomson says 63-year-old Daniel Weigart was arrested in the parking lot.
