Driver arrested for DUI after critically injuring bicyclist in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Vancouver police arrested a Gresham, Ore. man who they said was drunk when he hit and critically injured a bicyclist with his SUV Sunday night.

The crash happened near the intersection of Norris Road and Northeast 18th Street.

The bicyclist suffered serious injuries to his head and neck, police said. He is in critical condition. His name has not been released.

Police arrested the driver, 28-year-old Nicholas Badger, on a DUI charge.
