Drunk woman drives into house during chase, Portland police say

PORTLAND, Ore. - A woman who drove into a Portland house while being chased Tuesday morning was drunk, police said.

Sarah Ruth Rascoe, 33, was charged with attempt to elude by vehicle; first-degree criminal mischief; second-degree criminal mischief; DUII; driving while suspended; reckless driving; and two counts of reckless endangerment.

Police said they tried to pull Rascoe over just after 3 a.m. when they saw her driving recklessly near NE 82nd Ave. and Halsey St.

Police said she didn't stop, and a short chase ended when she lost control of her car and crashed into a house at NE 92nd and Eugene St.

The people inside the house weren't hurt.
