Fire destroys Camas home, no one hurt

CAMAS, Wash. -- A fire gutted a home in Camas on Tuesday afternoon, fire officials said.

No one was injured in the blaze that torched the home on Northwest Sierra Drive.

Firefighters were called to the fire at about 12:40 p.m. When they arrived, they saw the house fully engulfed in flames. About 25 firefighters worked to extinguish the fire from the outside of the house, according to a news release from the Camas-Washougal Fire Department.

Fire officials said the home is a total loss.

While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, fire officials believe it spread from the deck.
