LONGVIEW, Wash. – A travel trailer was destroyed in a fire in Longview early Monday morning.

Longview Fire responded to the incident at 249 26th Ave. at 1:11 a.m.

The travel trailer fire was threatening to spread to a nearby home. Luckily, four residents and their pets made it out of the home when a neighbor pounded on the front door and alerted them that their house was on fire.

When fire crews arrived, they focused on protecting the home while extinguishing the trailer. They say the trailer was about 30 feet long.

The trailer was totally destroyed, but the home was only scalded by the fire. A nearby van was also damaged by the fire’s radiant heat.

The fire is under investigation, but officials say it does not appear to be suspicious.

The residents and their pets returned to their home after the fire was extinguished.

No one was injured.
