Firefighters train by burning down Beaverton home
BEAVERTON, Ore. -- If you're near Southwest Denney Road and Highway 217 and see smoke on Wednesday, don't be alarmed.
Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue conducted live fire training on a home starting at 10 a.m.
Training officers will set several fires and firefighters will put them out, ending with a final burn of the home to the ground.
Habitat for Humanity donated the home to be burned. It plans to start construction in the area in 2016. It will build 16 homes for potentially 90 residents.
