Front-loader slides off trailer, crashes into empty barn

SANDY, Ore. - A front-loader crashed into an empty barn after it slid off its trailer Wednesday morning.

No one was hurt, but the barn was heavily damaged.

It happened in Sandy on Southeast Wildcat Mountain Road, a forested area of Clackamas County, the sheriff's office said.

The driver told sheriff's deputies the trailer's rear tires slid off the road and it slid down an embankment. The weight of the loader snapped the chains holding it in place. It slid off the trailer and flipped over.

Deputies said the truck driver had all the required permits for the truck and front-loader.

A damage estimate is unclear.
