Gang Enforcement Team investigates shooting in Southeast Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. – Police say a person was shot and suffered serious injuries in Southeast Portland Tuesday night.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1800 block of Southeast 130th Avenue at 11:19 p.m.
When they arrived on scene, they found evidence of gunfire, blood and bullet holes in a nearby home.
However, they did not find any victims with injuries.
About 30 minutes into the investigation, police received a call from an area hospital saying they had a patient with gunshot wounds. The victim is expected to survive.
While investigating, police learned the shooting was likely connected with an earlier fight at Rachel’s Bar and Grill, located at 12510 Southeast Division Street.
The Gang Enforcement Team is helping with the investigation.
