NW Natural repair gas line after break on SE Division
PORTLAND, Ore. —
NW Natural crews are working to contain a gas leak on SE Division Wednesday afternoon.
A construction crew using a saw hit a 1/2-inch gas line around 2 p.m. at 52nd Avenue.
Residents in the immediate vicinity were evacuated and fire crews shut off valves in the area.
At about 3:30 p.m., Portland Fire & Rescue decided to call back its crews that were at the scene. 52nd Avenue will be closed between Division and Clinton Streets as NW Natural repairs the line.
