Good Samaritans help rescue man hanging over cliff by creating human ladder
WILSONVILLE, Ore. —
A group of Good Samaritans in Wilsonville created a human ladder to help save a man who had fallen down an embankment Saturday afternoon.
Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue crews were called out to French Prairie Road just after 3 p.m. after the man fell.
He was holding onto a tree limb that hung over the edge. Neighbors who witnessed the ordeal created a human ladder to reach him, wrapping ropes around him to stop him from falling any further.
When firefighters responded, they used an access road below him to hoist a ladder to reach him. They placed him in a harness and lowered him using a rope system.
Incredibly, the man was not injured.
