Hiker finds body near Ecola Falls
UPDATE: The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office identified the deceased man as 63-year-old Douglas Fry of Hood River, Ore.
The sheriff's office said the cause of death is still pending.

COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE - A hiker discovered a body near Ecola Falls Friday afternoon.
The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office got a call around 1 p.m. from a hiker who had found some items along the edge of a trail and was concerned that someone might have fallen. After investigating further, the caller said they could see what looked like a body in a creek.
Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene and were able to remove the body from the creek. Portland Mountain Rescue was called in to help transport the body up from the creek, back to the trail and then down to the trailhead.
The person has not yet been identified pending notification of next of kin.
