Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard had the season end a little too early for his liking, but he picked up a post-season award Tuesday.

The Professional Basketball Writers Association honored Lillard with the Magic Johnson Award. It is awarded every year to a player who combines on-court excellence with cooperation with the public and the media.

Lillard called it an honor and said he took pride in having a professional and respectful relationship with the press.
