Local kids flock to theaters to see Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast'

It was the night they had been waiting for.

Disney’s live action “Beauty and the Beast” hit theaters Friday.

Kids of all ages came out to the Lloyd Center to see the movie.

“(The beast) is so cool looking with his horns, big teeth, and how funny he is in the movie when he’s eating the soup,” said one young moviegoer after seeing the film.

The movie is so popular with the kids, some local children’s theater groups are offering “Beauty and the Beast” productions and camps this summer.
