Man accused of taking up-skirt photos of girl arrested
PORTLAND, Ore. -- A man accused of taking two photos up the skirt of an unsuspecting 13-year-old girl was arrested Wednesday by Washington County sheriff's deputies.
Investigators say Patrick Joseph Buono was caught on surveillance cameras inside the Target store at S.W. 107th Ave. and SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway on Jan. 3.
A witness inside the store saw what was going on, and told the teenage girl's mother and store security. Security called deputies to investigate, but the suspect had already left.
They say the store was helpful in the investigation and provided the footage they needed to obtain a search warrant, and then arrest Buono.
Detectives fear this isn't the first time Buono may have attempted something like this, and are now asking people to look at his picture and come forward if they have seen him do anything illegal.
If you have any information, please call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at (503) 846-2500.
Buono, who lives in Southwest Portland, has no serious criminal history in Washington County. He's never been in jail there before.
He's being held on $20,000 bail and is charged with Attempted Invasion of Personal Privacy, and first and second degree Encouraging Child Sex Abuse.
