McMinnville man who vanished on 2013 trip to Coos County still missing
NORTH BEND, Ore. - The family of a man missing for a year is trying to draw attention to the case once again.
In July 2013, 25-year-old Zachary Porter of McMinville traveled to North Bend to sell a motorcycle.
He sent family members a text saying he had arrived safely, but no one has seen or heard from him since.
Last weekend, his family and a group of Coos County deputies worked to remind the public of Zachary's disappearance.
They travelled from door to door handing out fliers and asking questions.
"I don't think that anyone understands that hasn't been through it," Zachary's father Myron Porter said. "It's like an explosion and you see the world going on around you but your ears are ringing and you can't really hear anything you can't concentrate on anything else except what just happened."
If you have any information about Zachary's disappearance or believe you have seen him, please contact the Coos County Sheriff's Office.
