2017 Rainbow Gathering will be held at Malheur National Forest
MALHEUR COUNTY, Ore. —
The National Rainbow Gathering, expected to bring tens of thousands of visitors, will held at the Malheur National Forest around the Fourth of July.
According to a release from the Forest Service, organizers are planning for anywhere between 10,000 to 30,000 people to attend the event. The gathering site will be at the Flagtail Meadow off Forest Service Road 24 near John Day.
The Rainbow Gathering has been held annually since 1972 at different national forests throughout the country.
