Neighborhood vote to decide fate of women’s homeless shelter
PORTLAND, Ore. —
Neighbors in North Portland will decide the future of a women's homeless shelter Wednesday.
The Kenton Women's Village was approved to operate for one year, which comes to an end this month.
But a plan to sell and develop the property has been delayed, which could let the shelter extend its operation.
On Wednesday night, Kenton neighbors will cast their votes on whether to let the shelter stay.
