The Mountain Wave Search & Rescue team will keep their headquarters in Sandy thanks to the generous support of community members.

Mountain Wave volunteers go out on more than 100 rescues each year.

The non-profit group doesn’t receive taxpayer funding, and they were $6,000 short after a rent increase at their Sandy location.

The community responded, chipping in to help cover the cost and secure the spot.

Officials extended a heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who helped them reach their goal.
