Not guilty pleas for 2 suspects in shooting of officer, police dog
PORTLAND, Ore. - Two men accused of leading police on a chase and shootout that killed a police dog pleaded not guilty Monday.
Steven Young and Jamaell Riley both pleaded not guilty in connection to their alleged involvement in a shootout that wounded Portland police Officer Jeff Dorn and killed his police dog, Mick.
The trials for Young and Riley are scheduled to begin in June.
Police said the third suspect, Paul Ropp, is expected to enter a plea in court on Tuesday.
