One person stabbed during fight outside SE Portland club

PORTLAND, Ore. - Police took one suspect into custody after a stabbing early Monday morning outside a Southeast Portland club.

It happened near 9th Ave. and Morrison outside Sassy's Bar and Grill at around 1:30 a.m.

Police said witnesses saw the suspect leave in a vehicle and the victim walk away, possibly with a bicycle. Officers were concerned because the street was spattered with blood.

Police closed the block for their investigation. A KATU News crew at the scene saw police stop a car a few blocks away around 4 a.m. Officers took the driver into custody. It's unclear if he's been arrested.

Police described the victim as a white man in his early 20s who is 5-foot-11 to six feet tall. He has shaggy blonde hair that is short to medium-length. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie.
